Cupra – a recently founded sub-brand of SEAT dedicated to high-performance cars – has released first photos and a video showing its new all-electric e-Racing touring-class race car to be presented at the Geneva Motor Show in Switzerland in a few days.
There is no detailed information available at the moment, except for the fact that the new Cupra e-Racer gets four electric engines together capable of 670 hp. It is also loosely based on the Leon TCR, but weighs around 300 kilograms (~660 lbs.) more.
The all-new Cupra e-Racer will come equipped with a capacious battery and revised suspension, and supports regenerative braking. As a registered participant of the WTCR alongside such other contenders as the Hyundai i30 N, Audi RS3 LMS, and Renault Megane RS, it is going to hit the race track until the end of the year.
