Seat Tarraco scheduled for international premiere in September

Car manufacturer Seat will premiere its flagship crossover/SUV Tarraco on September 18, 2018. The vehicle had previously been demonstrated to company’s ten chosen clients.

The seven-seat vehicle will inherit some of its design features from its junior siblings, Ateca and Arona. Its interior, on the other hand, is going to be something entirely new and special. Rumor has it that the car will come loaded to the brim with electronic driver aids and feature a fully digital instrument panel.

In all likelihood, the new Seat Tarraco is based on the MQB modular architecture. The same platform lies at the base of the latest VW Tiguan Allspace and Skoda Kodiaq.

The engine palette will encompass a number of turbocharged gasoline engines with 1.4 to 2.0 liters of displacement room, as well as a single diesel engine. Buyers will be able to choose between front drive and AWD.

Once out, the Spanish car will cost €30,000 and above and compete with the Nissan X-Trail in the same market segment.

Seat also plans to launch a coupe/SUV model based on a brand-new platform in 2020.
