German tuners boost the Seat Leon ST Cupra through the roof

Germany-based car tuner Siemoneit Racing has launched a major performance upgrade for the Seat Leon ST Cupra. Once applied, it makes the all-wheel-drive estate/wagon more powerful than even the Mercedes-AMG C63 and Audi RS4.

As you may remember, the production version of Cupra ships with a 2.0-liter turbocharged V4 engine rated at 300 hp (224 kW) and 380 Nm (280 lbft) of torque. The upgrade improves the intercooler, the turbocharger, the intake and more, resulting in a boost to some amazing 522 hp (389 kW) and 620 Nm (457 lbft)! To compare, the Audi RS4 is only capable of 450 hp (336 kW), while the range-topping Mercedes-AMG C63 can manage up to 476 hp (355 kW).

The bundle also includes a sports exhaust system, performance brakes and pro-grade tires.

The tuned Seat Leon ST Cupra sprints 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in mere 3.4 seconds, a whopping 1.8 seconds faster than the production version. It maxes out at 278 km/h (173 mph) with the factory speed limiter still in place or at 304 km/h (189 mph) with it removed.

Siemoneit Racing didn’t care to mention the price of the power kit.
