Robin Holub, a professional freestyle skier from the Czech Republic, has built quite an impressive custom Seat Leon Cupra Carbon Edition boosted to near 170% its stock power. Care for a closer look?
BSR Performance provided the core components for the tuning. The car was originally boosted solely by software means (i.e., via an OBD interface), which resulted in the engine output rising from 300 hp (224 kW) to 359 hp (268 kW). The torque simultaneously rose to 462 Nm (341 lb-ft). While good, Robin wanted much more out of his ride than that, so he shelled out on an extensive drivetrain overhaul.
This necessitated such additions as a Wagner Tuning Competition intercooler, an HG Motorsport air intake system made of carbon fiber, a Forge Motorsport inlet pipe, a custom downpipe and exhaust system, and a plethora of other costly mods. At stellar 511 hp (381 kW) and 622 Nm (459 lb-ft), though, the result speaks for itself.
The DSG shift times have been cut from 0.3 seconds to just 0.12, the brakes reinforced, the suspension lowered, and the wheels swapped out for Barracuda Model Project 3.0 (Ultralight Series).
