Seat ramps up the power of its Leon ST wagon

The Spanish car company Seat is currently working on a “boosted” version of the Leon ST wagon – the Leon ST Cupra R – which is scheduled to enter retail market next year. According to media, the corresponding statement was made by Wayne Anthony Griffiths, Seat Executive Vice-President for Sales and Marketing.

He also said that a prototype already exists and features a turbo engine, optimized exhaust system developed in cooperation with ABT, and 20-inch alloy wheels.

He added that efforts are being made to optimize the stock V4 engine by raising its power to 340 horsepower from 310. The engine will be coupled with a DSG box.

The new car will be shipped exclusively in the 4WD variant.
