Less than a day ago, Seat revealed the first official image of its upcoming Mii electric hatchback, and now the main technical specs are here, too. Let us see what the urban car styled after the Skoda Citigoᵉ iV has inside and under the hood.
Just as predicted, the powertrain comes unaltered from the Skoda donor vehicle. Specifically, what we are dealing with here is a single front-axle mounted electric motor rated at 83 hp (62 kW) and 210 Nm (155 lb×ft) of torque. Connected to a 36.8 kilowatt-hour traction battery, it has a claimed driving range of 260 km (162 miles). Charging from zero to 80% is possible in an hour. Acceleration from nothing to 50 km/h (31 mph) takes less than four seconds, and the top going speed is capped at 130 km/h (81 mph).
The car is Seat’s first vehicle to take advantage of the new Seat Connect feature that enables you to look up its status (charge level, cabin temperature etc.) remotely via a smartphone, lock or unlock doors, and turn the climate control on in advance.
Prospective buyers of the Seat Mii electric will be offered as many as five factory option packages to choose from, but their contents remain unannounced.
Pre-orders will start in September 2019.
