Skoda has released the first photo showing the interior of its new European mini-SUV called Kamiq. The car will be present at the Geneva Motor Show in March for everyone to see.
Based on the pic, the vehicle looks mostly inspired by the Vision RS Concept the manufacturer introduced at the latest Paris trade fair. It houses a 10.25” touch-enabled multimedia display. The company emphasizes that this is about as large as these displays get in the mini-SUV segment of the market.
Along with revealing the image, the company also made a few announcements. For instance, it is now official that the car will have 400 liters of available trunk space, expandable to 1,395 liters with the rear seat row folded down.
Some of the interior trim elements sport a new crystalline-like texture that will eventually make it into other Skoda models as well. Customers will be able to choose among several finishing materials, notably including microfiber.
The European Skoda Kamiq rides on the MQB-A0 chassis and should therefore ship with the same or similar engine palette as the VW T-Cross.
