Skoda reveals Vision iV interior

Skoda has released the first image showing the interior of its upcoming all-electric SUV model called the Vision iV. The concept car will be present at the Geneva Motor Show coming up in March.

Based on what we can see, the car lacks the traditional center tunnel and features a two-spoke wheel, a large touchscreen display, a brand-new dashboard design and holding pockets for two smartphones (once inserted, you may connect them to the infotainment system or initiate wireless charging).

The EV uses the Volkswagen-designed platform known as the Modular Electric Kit, or otherwise MEB. Its powertrain specs remain unannounced, but Skoda’s Vision E Concept came equipped with two electric motors producing 306 hp (228 kW). It offered around 500 kilometers (310 miles) of driving range.

Based on exterior photos of the Vision iV revealed before, we know it is going to get a slanting roof, 22-inch, aerodynamically-shaped wheels, and rear view cameras instead of the conventional side mirrors.

The Czech carmaker will also be releasing its first hybrid car – the gasoline/electric version of the Skoda Octavia – later this year. Future plans of the company include releasing a purely electric SUV and an EV based on the Citigo urban car.
