Skoda Citigo-e iV debuts, runs 265 km / 165 mi on a single charge

Skoda has revealed the Citigo-e iV, its first all-electric vehicle, at the 2019 IIHF World Championship in Slovakia.

The Skoda Citigo-e iV shares its main units and components with the Volkswagen e-Up. It comes powered by an electric motor capable of producing up to 83 horsepower (62 kilowatts) along with 210 Nm (155 pound-feet) of maximum torque. It needs 12.5 seconds to get going at 100 km/h (62 mph) and maxes out at 130 km/h (81 mph).

The engine draws its power from a 60A, 36.8 kWh battery unit located at the bottom of the urban compact. The manufacturer claims a full charge will get you as far as 265 kilometers (165 miles). Charging may take between 1 and 12.5 hours, depending on the power source.

The Skoda Citigo-e iV should enter mass production in the second half of 2019. Prices will be announced later.
