The 2020 Auto Expo in New Delhi, India has started with Skoda showing us the Vison IN Concept, a vehicle that should turn into a mid-size production SUV for India in 2021.
The car follows the design guidelines of the Karoq range, but sports a more aggressive overall appearance. Its most prominent features include an aluminum spoiler, large air intakes, dual-section headlights with L-shaped DRLs, and a ‘crystal’ radiator grille.
Inside the cabin, the viewer’s attention is immediately drawn to a crystalline bauble that references one of Czech Republic’s famous crafts, the Bohemian glass. The same crystal theme carries over onto the doors and the front panel.
Predictably enough, the concept car makes use of Skoda’s latest tech and features, such as the rear seat bank that you can separate into two individual seats, doors with pockets for Skoda flasks, and dual-purpose seat upholstery (you can turn the seat covers inside out to switch between ‘sporty’ and ‘comfy’ variants).
The Skoda Vision IN Concept comes powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine rated at 150 hp (112 kW) and 150 Nm (110 lb-ft) of torque.
