The Czech car manufacturer Skoda has caused quite a stir with an announcement that it would attend the motor show in Geneva with five new or updated vehicles at once. Let’s have a closer look at the lineup.
First off, there is an all-new Vision X Concept which should eventually evolve into a new series-produced mini-SUV model. Then there is a performance-packed version of Kodiaq L&K and a refreshed Fabia. Our main attention, however, is traditionally drawn towards the more high-end automotive fare. Of these, there’s an updated Skoda Superb and a ‘hot’ Octavia RS 245. Let’s study them in detail.
The new Skoda Octavia RS 245 now comes with an optional Challenge Plus Package which is essentially just an extensive visual overhaul. Other options include lots of handy equipment and accessories, one of the highlights being a digital dashboard with a huge touch-sensitive display.
Speaking of the Skoda Superb, its main novelty lies concealed under the hood. The series has received an additional engine choice, and it’s an excellent 2.0L gasoline motor with over 265 hp. It should now be an even greater pleasure to steer this flagship model.
