The Czech car manufacturer Skoda debuted its Vision X Concept compact SUV to the media at the Geneva Motor Show. Its hybrid drivetrain drawing power from electricity and natural gas could be easily called its most compelling feature.
More specifically, the car comes with a 130 hp strong natural gas engine with 1.5L displacement room and an electric motor on the rear axle contributing another 27 hp. The battery of the innovative Skoda Vision X Concept hybrid SUV can be charged via regenerative braking, among other things. The manufacturer says it can accelerate 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 9.3 seconds and only peaks out at 200 km/h (124 mph).
The new Skoda Vision X Concept is based on the MQB car platform already familiar to us thanks to such models as Seat Arona or Volkswagen T-Roc. Just whether the concept vehicle ever makes it into production – and what would its price be like once it is out –remains unclear, though.
