The motor range of a station wagon and hatchback of Czech model Skoda Fabia will get the new 3-cylinder turbocharged motor, which will replace the 1,2 liters 4-cylinder aggregate.
Turbocharged TSI with a working volume of 1.0 liter will be available in two versions with various values of the maximum power and peak torque: 95 h.p. and 160 Nm or 110 h.p. and 200 Nm. The first variation, equipped with 5-staged "mechanics", will allow Fabia to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 10,6 seconds, the second (with 6-speed manual transmission.) - in 9.5 seconds. They promise that the new power plant will be 6 percent more economic than the engine ,which it will replace in motor range.
The presentation of the new turbine motor will take place at the following Geneva auto show.
