Skoda Enyaq iV set to debut on September 1

Skoda has announced the launch date of its all-electric SUV, the Enyaq iV: September 1, 2020. A live event is scheduled in Prague, Czech Republic for that date.

The Skoda Enyaq iV utilizes the VW MEB platform designed specifically for purely electric vehicles. It comes in five versions mostly differentiated by power output. The single-motor specs will produce 148, 179 and 204 PS (110, 130 and 150 kilowatts), while the AWD version will pack 265 PS (195 kW) and the top-end vRS as much as 306 PS (225 kW).

The vRS spec will need 6.2 seconds to get from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph), and it will max out at 180 km/h (112 mph). Opting for the largest battery size (82 kWh) will grant you around 460 kilometers (285 miles) of range.

Production is scheduled to start towards the end of the current year.
