Skoda evokes Bohemian Crystal Glass theme in Enyaq headlights

The Czech carmaker keeps teasing us with images of its first electric car due out on September 1, 2020. The latest set of pics focuses on the headlights.

The SUV features 100% diode-based LED Matrix headlights sporting a rather sophisticated design. The main elements are pentagonal, while the daytime running lights below are curved lines. The taillights likewise boast a geometrically complex pattern with acute angles. The design team says it drew inspiration from the iconic Bohemian crystal glass for this project.

It is official that once the Enyaq starts shipping, it will pack a HUD, a 13-inch infotainment, a digital dashboard, a wireless gadget charger and an intricate ambient lighting system for the interior.

The entry-spec Enyaq iV 50 will make do with a 148hp (110kW) electric motor and a 55-kWh traction battery sufficient for 340 kilometers (211 miles) of range. Opting for a long-range version will yield 500 km (310 miles) at most. The top spec will come packing a superior 306hp (228kW) engine and accelerate 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 6.2 seconds.
