Remember how the Skoda Vision iV and Vision E concepts both had sleek coupe-like bodies, but the Enyaq iV production car turned out to be a mundane station wagon? Well, it is now official that a coupe-SUV variant of that model is coming to the market.
Car spotters had made numerous spy photos of the Enyaq Coupe iV before, but the images you see here originate from Skoda itself. The company revealed some interesting bits of information regarding the car, so read on.
Apparently, despite the sloped roof, the Enyaq Coupe iV will actually be a tiny bit taller than its SUV-like counterpart. In fact, it will be just 1 mm (less than 0.1”) taller at 1,617 mm (63.16 inches). The width and wheelbase will stay the same at 1,879 mm (73.4 inches) and 2,765 mm (108 inches), respectively. Panoramic roof will be included in the base spec.
Thanks to a more aerodynamic shape, the drag ratio will lower from 0.257 to 0.247. Opting for the largest traction battery will give you 535 km (332.4 miles) of range instead of the regular Enyaq’s 520 km (323.1 miles). Trunk volume will go down from 585 liters (20.66 cubic feet) to 570 l (20.1 cu.ft.).
The standard spec will be called Enyaq Coupe 60 iV and use a single electric motor rated at 179 PS (177 hp / 132 kW), which will be plugged into a 62-kWh battery. The middling Enyaq Coupe 80 iV spec will get a motor worth 204 PS (201 hp / 150 kW) and 82kWh of power storage. Both are RWD. The range-topping Enyaq Coupe iV 80x will have 265 PS (261 hp / 190 kW) and AWD.
Stay tuned for the full reveal later this year.
