Skoda has revealed the day when it will finally unveil its own rival to the German Audi Q4 Sportback e-tron and Volkswagen ID.5: January 31, 2022.
Called the Enyaq Coupe iV, the vehicle has a drag ratio as low as 0.234 Cx. In this regard, it surpasses other related models built on the MEB platform and comes close to the Tesla Model Y, the segment leader in terms of aerodynamic performance.
There is much already known about the newcomer. Among other things, Skoda has confirmed that it would come in a couple of RWD variants and one AWD. Batteries will be sized 58 and 77 kWh, and powertrains will be rated at 180 PS (178 hp / 132 kW) and 204 PS (201 hp / 150 kW) and 265 PS (261 hp / 195 kW).
Range-wise, the most efficient configuration will offer up to 535 kilometers (332 miles) of range, a moderate improvement over the standard Enyaq’s 510 km (317 miles).
As strange as it may sound, the Enyaq Coupe iV is shaping up to be both longer AND taller than its SUV counterpart. It will also offer only 570 liters (20.1 cubic feet) of trunk space, down from the SUV’s 585 l (20.66 cubic feet).
