Skoda Enyaq Coupe iV strikes an elegant pose on a new teaser

Czech car manufacturer Skoda will unveil the coupe-like version of its Enyaq iV SUV on January 31. In the meantime, here is a new teaser showing the new model standing next to a fashionable vintage ride.

The car in the background could be the Skoda Popular Sport Monte Carlo Coupe hailing from the distant 1930s. The automaker says that despite its slanted roof, the iV Coupe will not have any less headroom than the SUV – in fact, it will have a couple of millimeters more. The trunk area will also deflate by as litte as 15 liters, down to 570 l (20.1 cubic feet).

The more classical Enyaq has a drag ratio of 0.247, while the new version surpasses it with 0.234 – good news for those who would like a slight driving range bump over that version. Powertrains will come in three flavors – 180, 204 and 265 metric horsepower, while batteries will amount to 58 and 77 kilowatt-hours.

Sales in Europe will begin in late 2022.
