Autocar believes that after releasing the Enyaq model in SUV and coupe/SUV variants, Skoda will proceed to reveal three new electric cars. All are expected to be more compact and affordable than the Enyaq.
The first one will allegedly be a Volkswagen ID.3 clone. Rumor has it the car will bring back the model name “Felicia”, which saw some use in the 1960s and 90s. Back in 2017, unofficial sources reported that the Skoda Felicia was on the roadmap as a full VW ID.3 clone with only minor design differences and identical tech.
The second one is said to be a mid-size liftback based on the MEB platform and belonging to the same class as the Octavia. Wrapping up the list is a compact hatchback seen as a successor of sorts to the Citigo iV model, which dropped out of production after less than a year. This one will purportedly be built on a simplified variant of the MEB Entry platform and thus likely be a version of the upcoming VW ID. Life. The launch is expected in 2025.
Skoda’s Next Level strategy envisions an expansion of its electric car portfolio to include larger vehicles as well, such as seven-seaters. By the beginning of the next decade, the automaker expects EVs to make between 50 and 70 percent of all cars sold in any given country in Europe.
