Skoda Elroq presents exterior

Skoda has posted some design sketches previewing its upcoming Elroq crossover. It is fully electric, cheaper than the current Enyaq lineup and is the brand’s first production car this year to feature an all-new interior design. The sales are slated to begin this fall.

Starting with the front end, it is what the Czech automaker calls the Tech-Deck Face. It combines a modern-looking front bumper with split headlight units and a nearly nonexistent faux grille. The latter detail is in stark contrast to other recent Skoda EVs, which did their best to imitate the grille and emphasize it. The same edgy outlines and air vents can be seen at the rear end, too.

Other noteworthy features include “Skoda” lettering instead of logos all around, dark chrome trim and a paint job called Timiano Green that the company claims it designed specifically for the new Elroq.

As for the interior sketches seen below, the company published them in late August. The emphasis is once again being made on eco-friendly materials, such as a nylon fabric processed from plastic waste. Powertrain-wise, the Elroq will offer options from 170 to 299 PS (168–295 hp; 125–220 kW, respectively) and batteries rated up to 560 km (348 miles) of range.
