Skoda announces a new Fabia Special Edition hatchback

Skoda has announced the forthcoming release of Fabia Special Edition, a hatchback model inspired by the Czech car manufacturer’s victory at the 2017 World Rally Championship (WRC2).

The new vehicle gets unique body paint, a black roof, and a set of exclusive 17-inch wheels coming in three colors to choose from. The car is adorned with multiple logos which read “WRC2 2017 Champion”.

Skoda Fabia Special Edition comes with a 1.4-liter TSI engine outputting 125 hp. Coupled with DSG transmission, this motor demonstrates excellent dynamics, accelerating the vehicle 0-200 km/h (approx. 0-122 mph) in just 8.8 seconds. Its top going speed is limited at 203 km/h (126 mph). To allow for maximum steerability in all conditions, the new Skoda Fabia Special Edition comes with sports suspension, reduced road clearance and stronger shock absorbers.

Despite all that has been said above, Skoda Fabia Special Edition is still not a professional-grade rally car. As such, it offers warmed-up sports seats, climate control, up-to-date steering wheel design, and a rear view camera.

Nothing is being revealed about the price of the new Fabia SE, which will be produced in a limited series of 1,300 cars.
