3 suspension options, 900+ km per tank: 2022 Skoda Fabia specs revealed

Skoda has released a few important details concerning the fourth-gen Fabia compact ahead of its launch in Europe. Apparently, the car will ship with a range of power-efficient engines and optional ‘crossover-like’ suspension.

Specifically, customers will be able to choose from non-electrified gasoline engines rated between 65 and 130 PS (64 – 128 hp; 48 – 96 kW, respectively). Four out of the five available powertrains are rated for 900+ km (559+ miles) of WLTP-rated driving range before the tank runs empty – but only as long as you opt for a larger 50-liter tank (the standard size is 40 liters). Curiously enough, Skoda never specified which out of the engines could not achieve the same fuel economy as the rest.

In addition to the standard suspension, there will be two other options. One is a sportier configuration with stiffer shocks and 15 mm (0.6”) less ground clearance, and the other – called the Rough Road – comes with skid plates, off-road shocks and springs, and a 15 mm (0.6”) bump in ride height.

The next-gen Skoda Fabia debuted in early May based on the new MAB-A0, gaining new styling cues and plentiful options.
