Skoda enhances Kodiaq, Karoq equipment levels for 2020

Czech car manufacturer Skoda has unveiled a range of updates for its crossover SUVs Karoq and Kodiaq. Let us see what the model year 2020 brings along.

The exterior stays the same except for the Skoda logo, which is now in text rather than graphics. Skoda has been using the new badge for all of its recent releases, including the Superb, the Scala etc.

Both SUVs now benefit from Side Assist, a blind zone monitoring system that scans for obstacles in a 70-meter range. The warning lights have become easier to notice than in the old collision assist system, and the new one even helps when reversing.

Other notable updates include adaptive shocks (available for FWD configurations only) and a new 2.0-liter diesel engine rated at 190 hp / 142 kW (available for the Karoq, ships bundled with 4WD and 7-speed DCT). In turn, Kodiaq L&K, RS and Sportline trims gain access to optional 20-inch wheels.
