Skoda reveals 2022 sales report, hints at new Kodiaq and Superb coming out soon

In its annual report, the Czech car manufacturer highlighted the continued growth of interest towards EVs and the growing popularity of the Skoda brand in select countries. It also indicated that its plans for 2023 involved releasing new generations of the Superb and the Kodiaq.

Martin Jahn, the company’s Board Member for Sales and Marketing, said both updates would be ‘very promising’ for the future of Honda as they debut later this year. In addition to the two models mentioned above, the automaker plans to facelift the Kamiq and the Scala.

In 2026, Skoda expects to design three new electric cars. There is still no information regarding these, but earlier claims suggested that an affordable urban compact would be in the mix. A mass-market version of the Vision 7S Concept also seems likely.

Back in 2022, Skoda managed to move 731,300 cars, marking a 16.7% drop over the preceding year. The decline was observed on all markets except for India, where the demand skyrocketed 127.7%. Only two production cars showed a positive sales dynamic: the all-electric Enyaq IV SUV (53,700 units) and India-only Kushaq CUV (26,800 units).
