Carwow has invited owners of a Skoda Kodiaq and a Porsche Cayenne to an off-road race, and here are the results.
Before you begin watching, consider that the Porsche uses a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 rated at 462 PS (456 hp / 340 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque. The transmission has eight gears.
The much more affordable Skoda brings a 2.0-liter turbo mill to the table with 245 PS (242 hp / 180 kW) and 370 Nm (273 lb-ft) of torque. The transmission is seven-speed automatic.
Now, the Kodiaq may look much weaker on paper, but straight-line acceleration is not important in this particular test. Rather, both vehicles will have to climb up a hill and then traverse some challenging terrain. How will they fare? Watch and find out!
