The new Skoda Kushaq makes use of the MQB-A0 IN car platform optimized for its domestic market and is 4,225 mm long, 1,760 mm wide and 1,612 mm tall with 2,651 mm between the axles.
The ground clearance amounts to 188 mm, and the trunk varies from 385 liters with the seats up to 1,405 liters with the seats folded.
The dashboard greets with analog gauges and a modest-sized display. Higher trims add a 10-inch infotainment touchscreen, a two-spoke steering wheel, ventilated front seats, and six airbags.
Toiling under the hood is a turbocharged three-cylinder with 115 PS (113 hp / 85 kW), which can be mated to a six-speed manual or automatic transmission. Paying extra gets you a 1.5-liter turbo good for 150 PS (148 hp / 110 kW), which is available with a 6M/T and a 7-speed DSG.
Prices remain pending, but we expect the Kushaq to be priced between 10 and 16 Rs Lakh, which is what the Hyundai Creta and the Kia Seltos cost in India.
