The fourth generation of the Skoda Octavia liftback debuts in a week, and the first short teaser video is already here. Depicted here are LED Matrix headlights and taillights with dynamic turn blinkers. The car itself is but a silhouette.
It is official now that the new Octavia will become broader and longer while maintaining the same wheelbase. In its domestic market of Europe, the best-seller will be available with a 1.5-liter turbo engine (150 hp / 112 kW), a 2.0-liter turbo (190 hp / 142 kW), and a 1.0 TSI (110 hp / 82 kW). There will also be a single 2.0 TDI mill available in two boost versions: 150 hp / 112 kW and 200 hp / 150 kW, a 1.4 TSI-based hybrid, and a CNG version with 130 hp (97 kW) under the hood.
The rest of the specs will be revealed when the car premieres in Prague, Czech Republic, on November 11, 2019. Sales in Europe will begin next year.
