Skoda has announced the forthcoming launch of the fourth-gen Octavia Combi Scout wagon, with the live event scheduled for July. For the first time on record, the car will get front-wheel drive.
The updated family hauler boasts 15 mm (0.6”) of extra road clearance, silvery roof railings, guard covers, and 19-inch wheels. Novelty inside boils down to pedal pads, seats with the model name embroidered on them, and contrast-rich stitching throughout.
The car will ship with diesel engines rated at 115, 150 and 200 horsepower (86, 112 and 150 kilowatts), as well as diesel engines worth 150 and 190 hp (112 and 142 kW). A hybrid version called e-TEC will also be available, although its specs aren’t being discussed yet. All versions will ship with the same seven-speed semi-auto gearbox.
