Skoda has posted a teaser video previewing the updated Octavia sans camo. At this stage, the company only promises us stylistic updates for the liftback and the wagon, but the powertrain options may get revised, too. The full premiere is still weeks away, so let’s take a look.
The official comment next to the video mentions a larger radiator grille with a new pattern. The video also reveals redesigned lights and bumpers at both ends, as well as a different Skoda lettering on the tailgate.
According to rumors, customers in Europe will get an updated selection of engines with mild power boosts across the range. Like before, there will be petrol and diesel options with 1.4–2.0 liters of displacement and mild hybrids based on these.
The high-end Octavia RS currently gets either a 2.0-liter turbo or a 1.4-liter hybrid system. Both produce an identical 245 PS (242 hp / 180 kW). This version should get a refresh later on.
The impending facelift will be the first for the current-gen Octavia since its debut in 2019. Skoda says it will be presenting the liftback and the wagon on the same day.
