The Monte Carlo is a new, designer-made Skoda Scala

Skoda will be unveiling a new design of its Scala hatchback at the IAA 2019, called the Monte Carlo. Changes make it as far as the exterior and the cabin.

On the outside, the car boasts 17-inch alloy wheels, although you may opt for a larger 18-inch set. The radiator grille, mirror caps, front bumper moldings and Skoda inscription on the tailgate are now black.

Inside, there are new sport seats, aluminum pedal pads, black textile finish on the ceiling and red stitching throughout. The gear selector, the wheel and the parking brake come wrapped in leather. The Skoda Scala Monte Carlo also packs panoramic glass roof and tinted rear windows in all versions.

The name of the special edition pays homage to the Monte Carlo rally championship that Skoda has been participating in ever since the early 20th century. Similar designs are already available for the Yeti, Kamiq, Rapid, Citigo, and Fabia (see video).
