Skoda unveils the refreshed 2019 Superb

Skoda has posted an image showing the European version of its Superb liftback after a facelift. The car will soon make its first public appearance at the 2019 Men's Ice Hockey World Championship kicking off on May 10th.

The picture shows the front part of the car, drawing attention to the different headlight pattern and the new bumper. The rest looks more or less standard. There haven’t been any rear view photos yet, but we can expect Skoda to spell its name out in letters there, rather than using the logo.

Rumor has it that the new Superb will get an interior design similar to that of the Scala. As such, we may look forward for higher-quality trim materials and a state-of-the-art multimedia system with new features. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay will likely be default features now.

For the first time in its history, the European version of the Skoda Superb will be available with the hybrid powertrain of the VW Passat GTE. This shouldn’t be too surprising, since the two cars are based on the same MQB platform.
