The next generation of the Skoda Superb is set to debut before the end of the current year, and in the meantime, a prototype went to Southern Europe for some test drives in the summer heat.
We had already seen the liftback version on spy shots before, but the latest bunch depicts the wagon. It is still generously wrapped in camo, but there is no concealing the boxy headlights and DRLs. The radiator grille sports vertical bars, and the lower fascia has air vents at the sides and in the middle.
The side windows are fairly large, meaning that the interior should get ample sunlight. The taillights look squarish as well, and there is an obvious spoiler on the roof.
The new Superb runs on an upgraded version of Volkswagen’s MQB platform, just like the next-gen VW Passat.
