Skoda Yeti unleashes its wild side with Audi RS 3 heart transplant

You will not be finding the Skoda Yeti in performance SUV lists – it simply lacks the kick. One owner found issue with that and had his example transformed into a sports car eater with half a thousand horsepower under the hood.

He used a 2.5-liter Audi RS 3 engine for the swap. In its stock form, the five-cylinder block is already very capable with its 340 PS (335 hp / 250 kW). However, this example received extensive modifications and ended up with 492 PS (485 hp / 362 kW). A tweaked seven-speed DCT conveys the momentum to both axles.

The exterior of the Yeti makes it a true sleeper: everything stays stock except for noticeably lowered suspension, Audi S3 wheels and a couple of oval tailpipes. The body comes finished in an inconspicuous shade of grey – perhaps so as to devour Nissan GT-Rs without them noticing, as the tuner suggests.

Having had enough fun with the build, the tuner successfully sold it on eBay. The asking price was £26,000.
