As you probably know, Smart underwent a reorganization not long ago and now belongs to Mercedes-Benz and Geely. The #1 e-SUV pictured here will be its first production car set to reach the market in late 2022.
The photos show the car concealed under a vivid wrap, but it still looks much like the Smart Concept #1 shown earlier at the IAA Munich. The engineers claim they managed to reduce its drag ratio to 0.29 thanks to active grille louvers and flush door handles.
The interior remains to be shown. The early concept mentioned above had a rather minimalistic cabin without a single hardware button on the center console, but with a 12.8-inch rectangular infotainment display.
