Man parks his Smart in the kitchen

Following the onslaught of Hurricane Dorian on the Bahamas, Eastern Florida was the next area at risk. To hide it from the natural disaster, Patrick Eldridge parked his Smart ForTwo in the kitchen of his house.

According to Patrick, he had nowhere else to put the car, the garage having been already occupied by his wife Jessica’s car.

The wife ended up posting photos of the vehicle sitting in her kitchen on Facebook, commenting that she hoped her husband would remove as soon as the gale passes. She added that she still had enough space to move around, but her dogs were spooked by the vehicle.

From what can be seen on the photos, the miniature car fits nicely within the kitchen, and none of the doors seems damaged by the attempts to drive it into the house.

Looking back, this actually isn’t a unique case by any standards. A family in Miami once hid their 1987 Nissan 300 ZX in the kitchen from Hurricane Irma.
