A video has recently gone viral that shows a 3rd-gen Smart EV hauling three pickup trucks at once via a rope. Chevrolet, Jeep and Ford specialists have participated in the experiment.
The car’s Smart Fortwo Electric Drive system was slightly tweaked to yield 89 horsepower (65 kilowatts) and 156 Nm (115 lb-ft) of torque instead of the standard 74 hp (55 kW). According to the test conditions, none of the trucks had a running engine for the duration of the experiment.
