Pinzgauer 6х6 army truck becomes a comfortable motorhome

Leave it to Russians to remodel an Austrian military off-roader into a mobile home for four people. One such is on sale in Surgut right now for an asking price of ₽15 million.

The car started its career as a 1981 Steyr Puch Pinzgauer 712, a lightly armored personnel carrier employed by military services and special ops in several countries. It relies on an inline-four diesel engine mated to a five-speed manual transmission and gets 88 PS (87 hp / 65 kW) and 180 Nm (133 lb-ft) out of it. Reduction gear and lockable differentials help out in tricky situations, and independent suspension aids overlanding, too.

The interior is designed for to four inhabitants. Amenities on board include a full-fledged kitchen, an AC, aluminum furniture and a WC. There is a water boiler on board and an autonomous heating system that can function on natural gas or diesel oil, whichever is convenient. This means you can live and travel around the calendar, even in the cold season.

The Pinzgauer series of off-road trucks has been in production for 51 years now.
