You may remember that the Japanese car manufacturer Subaru has recently raised the price point of its Impreza family car series. Apparently, prices will go up for the 2019 Legacy and Outback models as well.
The 2019 Subaru Legacy powered by a 2.5-liter engine will now be available for U.S. $23,400 and above, which is $350 over the previous price. The 2019 Subaru Outback will begin at U.S. $27,300 (+$500). The only exception will be the Limited Edition, which will remain unaffected.
A Subaru spokesperson explained that the company was trying to compensate for the price bump by providing more equipment and options with each vehicle. For instance, all versions of Legacy and Outback will now come equipped with the EyeSight feature previously only available at a premium.
Both models will also get a new LCD-based dashboard and auxiliary lighting. Higher trim levels will offer dimmable rear view mirror and some other advanced features.
