Despite much pleading, Subaru never released a V8 version of its BRZ coupe. The company argued that it prioritized minimum weight and excellent handling over raw engine power. Naturally, some owners began searching for workarounds.
Brill Steel, the owner of this particular Subaru BRZ, decided to go all-out retrofit the Japanese vehicle with a V8. He removed the stock 2.0L engine with its 200 hp (150 kW) and 212 Nm (150 lb×ft) of torque and replaced it with a monstrous LS3 V8 sources from the Chevrolet Corvette. As a result, the power output of the Subaru BRZ went up to some amazing 580 hp (433 kW) and 912 Nm (673 lb×ft) of torque. Impressive!
He also outfitted the car with a Rocket Bunny wide body kit.
Regrettably, when revealing his ride before the audience at the Monaco Auto Show, Brill Steel never challenged anyone for a drag race. He did a few laps himself, though, shocking the bystanders with the roar of his V8.
