Subaru BRZ gets in-house tuning options

Along with revealing a right-hand-drive version of its BRZ coupe, Subaru has announced a number of accessories coming up for it.

The list mentions 18-inch forged wheels, LED DRLs built into air intakes, and a body kit consisting of a front splitter, side skirts, a rear diffuser, and a rear wing.

Further options include a giant carbon-fiber rear wing on triangular supports and a particularly loud exhaust system. Rounding off the list are front braces that should increase the rigidity of the car body.

Powering the model is a 2.4-liter non-turbo flat-four rated at 235 PS (232 hp / 173 kW) and 250 Nm (183 lb-ft) of torque. Buyers can choose between six-speed manual and automatic.

The Subaru BRZ will be coming to the market in Japan this summer, and the technically related Toyota GR 86 will follow in the fall. The production will take place at the Subaru Gunma factory.
