Homegrown vehicles are often fun to look at, especially those with plenty of effort and soul poured into them. This Sandy Brown Subaru Forester might look bizarre, but it is somehow quite a charmer, too.
The crossover sports a few off-road modifications that look cheap and tacked-on, but functional nonetheless. A truck bed has been added in the back, but the cab is open and there is no partition to separate the seats from the cargo area.
And then there is a trailer, which is essentially the rear half of another Subaru Forester painted to match the main car. The weird tandem is up for grabs on the Facebook Marketplace for U.S. $3,500 right now.
The Forester is not exactly new, of course. It was produced in 2001 and has since covered around 236,000 miles (just under 380,000 kilometers). It features an automatic transmission, radio, an AC, a Yakima roof rack, a 42-inch LED panel, revised/lifted suspension, and 15-inch off-road wheels shod in BFGoodrich K02 tires.
Watch the attached video for a glimpse of a similar project, albeit one based on the Acura NSX (one and a half NSX’s, to be specific).
