Subaru Forester gets an anniversary edition

For 50 years now, Subaru has been making all-wheel-drive cars. To commemorate the occasion, the company has launched a limited edition of its forester model in Japan. Prices start at ¥3,355,000.

Among other colors, the crossover SUV is available in an exclusive shade of blue that Subaru used to offer in North America, but never in Japan.

Compared to the standard version (see video), the Forester XT-Edition boasts a number of blacked-out parts including the wheels, the mirror caps, the front grille, the bumpers and the roof rails. The rear spoiler and the anti-fog lights are also darkened.

Inside, the anniversary edition boasts silver stitching and metallic inserts in the doors and air vents. The company’s signature safety package with a reversing camera is already  included in the base spec.
