The Japanese car brand has come to the New York motor show with the 5th generation of its ultra-popular Subaru Forester SUV. The manufacturer claims the car offers even more comfort and safety than its preceding model.
Technically, the new Forester utilizes Subaru’s own modular platform known as the SGP. The car has changed quite a lot on the outside and received new LED headlights. Buyers will be able to select among several new body color options. Much more importantly, however, it now offers 40% more trunk space.
Five specifications of the new Subaru Forester will be made available in the North America. Forester Sport, a car for those who love an occasional trip into the wilderness, will be the first to hit the market. Regardless of the trim level, each vehicle will ship with a 2.5-liter V4 engine good for 182 hp (135 kW) and 238 Nm (175 lb·ft) of torque.
