2024 Subaru Impreza teased ahead of LA Show premiere

Subaru has officially announced the grand reveal of the new 2024 Impreza at the Los Angeles Auto Show on November 17. In the meantime, we have a single teaser pic to go by.

The image is neither detailed nor very telling, only showing the roofline of a hatchback-shaped Impreza. The current model is also available in sedan form, making us wonder whether it will still be the case in the new generation.

It is also hard to tell, but it looks like the ground clearance could be higher. It would be a logical step to make considering that the buyers nowadays prefer SUVs and crossovers to low-riding cars.

Other than that, the hood outlines and a-pillars look identical to those of the current generation (see video). There is a modest-sized spoiler in the back, and if we had to guess, the dashboard and the infotainment system are new.

Subaru said earlier that AWD would become a standard feature for the Impreza, but did not reveal any specifics. Right now, buyers are restricted to just one engine – a rather tame 2.0-liter flat-four mill rated at 154 PS (152 hp / 113 kW) and 196 Nm (145 lb-ft). A beefier option would definitely come in handy, so we expect one to appear in the lineup.
