There is a wonderful thing about racing video games where you can select a modest-looking car and then tune the living hell out of it. The owner of this 2003 Subaru Impreza STI took things a little further by proving that you can do the same in real life.
He started by replacing the standard transmission with a six-speed sequential one. Then he retrofitted the engine with a stroker kit and a turbocharger.
To help the vehicle cope with its newfound power, he equipped it with a new air intake system and a powerful titanium exhaust that spit flame whenever he hit the gas pedal. The end result proved to be close to 800 hp (600 kW).
As crazy as this tuned-to-hell sedan looks, we are worried that it might not be street-legal after all. Listen to it roar and rumble on the video below, you’ll understand.
