Subaru WRX STI scores even more brutality points with CCC-made widebody kit

Even in its stock guise, the Subaru WRX STI is quite a badass-looking sports sedan. The massive motor dome on the hood, the characteristic front fascia with large air intakes and an enormous rear wing betray the flamboyant personality of the 300-hp (224-kW) Japanese ride. But it pales in comparison to this tuned example.

California-based auto shop Crown Carbon Crafting (CCC) is responsible for the kit, which it calls the Dagger Edition. We have seen it do something similar with the Nissan 350Z & 370Z and the Infiniti G35, but this time the styling strikes us as particularly aggressive.

The kit is compatible with both the regular WRX and the STI, but your car has to be MY2015 or younger. Included are wheel arch extensions (+50 mm / +2 inches on each side), new aprons, neat side skirts, and massive quarter panels extending almost as far as the doors. Extras include a front spoiler lip, a rear diffuser and a rear wing. All parts are manufactured from FRP and attached to the car using the old-and-proven ‘bolt-on’ method.

The show car additionally sports a sandy shade of brown and rides on 18-inch Cosmis Racing XT206-R wheels wrapped in Toyo Proxes rubber. It also features improved suspension and a Stage 3 engine upgrade, but we do not have any tech specs to share with you.
