If you care for exclusivity, this 23-year-old, limited-run Subaru Impreza WRX STi on sale in Moscow could be yours for 20 million rubles, or $271,700 USD.
According to various reports, the automaker produced either 400 or 426 such vehicles to simultaneously celebrate its 40th anniversary and third victory in a rally championship. You can learn more about the WRX STi 22B series by watching the video.
The car corresponds to the Type RA spec overall, but also boasts certain rally-inspired upgrades, such as tweaked suspension, redesigned body and a shortened steering column. The engine under the hood was bored out to 2.2 liters of displacement and boosted to 280 PS (276 hp / 206 kW), making the 22B Japan’s most powerful Subaru Impreza on the market at the time.
The seller claims that the car with the chassis number 287 has barely more than 30,000 kilometers (18,600 miles) on the odometer, an accident-free record, and the OEM paint coat. It was also allegedly driven exclusively in warm weather. Interestingly enough, the car was modified from right to left hand drive and made street-legal after that. Whoever bids the most will be getting all the spare parts remaining.
