Marvel at this wide-bodied, 556-PS Subaru Impreza STI

It has been known for a while now that enough time and money makes a capable track tool out of any Subaru STI. YouTuber LivingLifeFast has more proof to show us.

The owner of the hot hatch did not spare any expense for his beloved ride, outfitting the 2.5-liter engine with forged pistons and connecting rods, rod bearings, and SC-46 turbos, among other things. He implemented an AWD system based on OEM components and installed a methanol injection system for an extra bit of thrust. When the build was complete, it hit the four wheels with 556 PS (548 hp / 409 kW).

As any self-respecting homegrown track weapon, this Impreza makes use of lightweight GFRP bodywork and stripped cabin. It also rocks numerous complex aerodynamic upgrades on the exterior, with a giant rear wing dominating the view. The suspension is slammed, and you can adjust rear wheel camber within minutes.

Be sure to watch the video and see for yourself what this crazy build is actually capable of.
