Japanese car manufacturer Subaru has released the first preview pics of its next-generation Legacy sedan. It looks like the car is getting a humongous vertical touchscreen display.
A similar display comes with Tesla cars. It is divided into several sections, the top acting as a multimedia interface, the middle used to control the main functions of the car and the bottom intended for climate control.
As you can see on the photos, the design team decided to keep the original hardware buttons, so you can still adjust volume, air temperature and rear window heating like you could before.
The manufacturer does not provide any sort of technical data at the moment. Professionals in the automotive industry expect the new Subaru Legacy to ship with a new 2.4-liter, opposite-cylinder engine rated at 264 hp / 197 kW, linked to an IVT box.
The Japanese sedan will participate in the Chicago Motor Show starting on February 7, 2019.
