Japanese media have published a couple photos allegendly showing the non-camouflaged second generation of the Subaru Levorg. The new estate/wagon leans towards the more aggressive style of the Impreza WRX.
The hood scoop, stylishly distorted headlights and muscular wheel arches highlight the sporty personality of the car especially clearly.
The new Levorg will be unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show coming up in a couple days. For now, the manufacturer will be showing a concept, but the final production car will likely be exactly or nearly identical.
It isn’t official yet, but rumors persist that the second generation uses the SGP architecture, which enables it to take advantage of numerous modern driver aids.
As for the engines, the old 1.6-liter turbo (170 hp / 127 kW) and its 2.0-liter counterpart (300 hp / 224 kW) will likely be dropped from the lineup. New turbocharged engines will come to take their place. allegedly, one of these has 1.5 liters of displacement and 150 hp / 112 kW at the crank, while the other one has 1.8 liters and 270 hp / 209 kW. The 2.4-liter Ascent engine might also become available, and a hybrid isn’t completely out of the question, either.
